Wholeness

November 29, 2015 By

Please, you and yours are children of God (if you don’t like that word, replace it with one that works for you).

Everything that is carries within it, impeccable wisdom and an impulse towards wholeness. You don’t have to believe me. This is a testable axiom. In fact, I call this “reliable magic.”

During our brief time on this planet, it is our job to know and honor that impulse and do all we can to let wholeness have it’s way with us, our loved ones, and the communities of which we are a part!

Don’t give up! Keep searching for the help and support that you need!

Here to Help

November 29, 2015 By

It would be my honor and pleasure to help you discover, rediscover the wholeness and the divinity that you are.

If I cannot see you, I am happy to be a resource broker for you and yours. Happy to help you find the help and guidance you seek.

Ready Already

November 29, 2015 By

Sometimes, you are just plain ready!

Sometimes, you are so ripe and ready for healing, for a shift, that, with the proper nudge, you simply tumble or take a big step into a new and more wholesome place/space in your life.

Other times, there is a nice tidy package that is ready to be transformed or healed and responds quickly and totally to the right kind of healing intervention.

Intimacy….aaahhhhh!

November 29, 2015 By

Then there are our intimate relationships….

If our intimate relationship were a car, or a beloved pet, we would not ignore that nasty clunking noise or the fact that Fifi hasn’t eaten for three days or can’t seem to stand upright!
We would bring the car or dog to our most trusted expert ASAP!

The research is clear. Couples generally wait six years too long to seek help. What! Huh? Yep! We are that crazy!

Intimacy is the most difficult AND REWARDING yoga (unity practice) there is. Don’t believe me? Then you have forgotten your reason or never really understood your reason for getting together in the first place. And, you probably don’t have the right models out there to SHOW you what is possible in that magical intimacy crucible.

Seek SKILLFUL help early and as often as you need to!

It will save you a lifetime of unnecessary suffering and reward you with a lifetime of radical ever-green beauty, joy, sweetness, challenge, healing and growth.

There is, of course, the suffering that we cannot escape. No need to add to that heap!

Hard Work

November 29, 2015 By

Lasting change generally takes time and hard work.

When we seek to master almost anything in life, we take classes, hire coaches and consultants, seek gurus and guides.

Under the best of circumstances, this being human that we get to be, this crazy gift that we have been given to live, takes enormous skill and a great deal of support to manage with even a modicum of grace. And this gift calls us to honor it with all the awakeness that we can muster.
Being human takes skill, patience, and a lot of practice.
Be smart!.
Be good to yourself.
Find someone to practice with!

(If it helps to know, I have used therapy abundantly over the course of my life. Whenever I’m stuck and my own self-healing work is not doing the job, I return to therapy. When I have had a good therapist, or it has been a good fit, I HAVE ALWAYS made it through the stuckness to a new place!)

B Smart

November 29, 2015 By

Be a smart consumer!

Ask lots of questions!

Don’t be afraid to ask for a second opinion!

Expect Results

November 29, 2015 By

Expect results. If you are not getting results, then something is wrong.

Talk to your therapist healer about your goals. Check back often to get clear about where you are in the process of healing.

How is it going? What’s working, and what is not working?
Therapy is a collaborative process, so COLLABORATE!

If it is difficult for you to step up and claim your place in your own healing process, ask your healer to help you become a more central player in your own healing process.

Even well down the road, don’t be afraid to tell your therapist that you want to consult with another therapist to evaluate the very therapy that you are in.

You can also ask your therapist to get a consult for themselves to get help with their part in the stuckness.

Be brave! This is your nickel and your life!

Clarity-Direction

November 29, 2015 By

Your therapist should be able to help you get clear about your “problem” and the outcome(s) that you are seeking.

Collaboration

November 29, 2015 By

Therapy is a collaborative project. And though you are hiring an expert, when it comes to your healing and development, YOU, with your inner wisdom, are the true expert.
